Duke is a handsome, 4 year old, Tri-color Saint Bernard. He is a true gentle giant and gets along well with other dogs and kids. This big, goofy boy weighs 130 lbs and was surrendered to a shelter and then transferred to rescue because his owner was moving and his time was up due to lack of space. Duke is very friendly, loving, and outgoing to all he meets. He is quite the character and a very easy going fellow. He is house trained, not destructive, and learning his basic commands.

Duke has severe hip displaysia and elbow displaysia and is sadly not a candidate for surgery. We have decided to make him a permanent foster in our program and will do everything we can to keep his pain managed through medications and accupuncture for as long as he has left(the vet estimates 6 months to a year).
