Ricky - Saint Bernard

Ricky is a very handsome, 3 year old, Tri-color, Saint Bernard male. He was originally found as a stray and when no owner came to claim him he was transferred to BDHPI for safe keeping. He is a big-time cuddler and loves to give sloppy kisses and help you drive! Ricky is very good with other dogs and will happily accept lovin from adults and kids alike. He was mostly locked outside and neglected previously, but has now fully embraced his new life indoors. He is now house trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash with a gentle leader. Ricky has tons of love to give, has come a long ways while in rescue and is now ready to embrace a brighter future!

Ricky was diagnosed with cataracts and only light perception and used his right eye to see when he arrived. He had approximately 10% perception with his left eye and about 70% with his right eye. We are happy to report that he underwent a successful phacoemulsification cataract removal surgery on September 24th. Ricky is now ready to go to his forever home when the right family comes along!
